Tennessee Titans’ WR Kenny Britt Ready for a Clean Slate

Kenny Britt said the lesson is learned. If so, it could be a lesson that greatly helps the Tennessee Titans‘ passing game this season.

Britt, a wide receiver and the the Titans‘ first-round selection in the 2009 NFL Draft, had about as bad a final weekend of the 2010 NFL preseason as he could have imagined. He dropped two passes and committed a false-start penalty.

That prompted Titans’ Head Coach Jeff Fisher to pull him from the game – a preseason game.

Fisher talked afterward of Britt’s need to stay focused, and said he would do the same in a regular-season game.

On Monday, Britt said the situation is in the past.

And most importantly, perhaps, he said he has learned from his mistakes.

“It’s always a clean slate, every time you come on the practice field, any time you come in the meeting rooms,” Britt told Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean Monday. “I am not trying to dwell on that. I am just trying to stay focused and do what I have done my whole life, to play football. You can’t blame someone for a bad day. Maybe I’ll have a great day next.”
