Jamie Harris, Kevin Phillip Indefinitely Suspended by Drexel

Jamie Harris and Kevin Phillip have been indefinitely suspended from the Drexel basketball team, one day after the pair were charged with burglary, robbery and weapons violations. The pair are accused of robbing a female student at gunpoint.

“We are disappointed by these allegations,” said James “Bruiser” Flint, head men’s basketball coach. “Should these allegations prove to be true we find this behavior to be unacceptable and inconsistent with our program’s values and mission.”

Harris, the team’s starting point guard and leading scorer, and Phillip, a reserve forward, were also placed on an academic suspension.

According to police, the pair entered the 21-year-old woman’s apartment, brandishing handguns and demanding cash from the student, but made off only with her iPhone. Their getaway was caught by a surveillance camera.
